Go figure….I really do not know how this happens. Our family seems to grow more every year. This is us on this camp out. All on 2 sites at Donner Lake. The plates the folks are holding are for the Brody, Kristin part of the family. Mike is holding Brody, Warren is holding Kristin, Noah–Blue, Zion –Aiden and Trinity is holding Cooper. I have come to realize that it doesn’t matter how many people join our family, and honestly, I am incredibly grateful to the Lord for His blessings, but I miss my Tennessee kids and grands and there is always a void. I love very much the kids the Lord has added to us this year…but they never take the place of those kids. There is a hole that only they can fill. I am very happy that they are happy where they are and that they are thriving and got to go on such an adventure of their vacation…but I still want them to know, they are part of us…..
It was a little harder this time because Mike was hurting so badly with his leg. He will have an MRI this week and we will find out about surgery….Again , I request prayer, please with no insurance, I have no idea what we may be facing…but the Lord does. Anyway, it was beautiful at the Lake. The weather was perfect 70’s and cold at night. The kids had a great time with their bikes and swimming was a little cold, but kids don’t seem to mind so much.
We spent more time with Matt and Kristin than any one I think. We had not been able to be with them much lately. Matt has been working in El Paso and was able to fly in for the camp out. Kristin was very happy about that. The kids all really like to be together and do whatever.
We went on a “boat ride”, for my kids….yes, your mother laughed! I don’t know why, this either. When I go fast, on a boat or an amusement park ride, the faster I go the more I laugh…cannot stop it. Our friends, the Pierce’s took Mike and I out and I loved every minute of it. We were late for dinner, but soooo worth it.
The people you may not recognize, Brody and Kristin, are Joey and Kathryn Garcia…you have heard about them I know. Joey cannot wait to meet you. And the other one the left side, is Nik. He ministers with Harold in Junior High and has also become one of us. He wants his picture on that family wall with Kathryn and Joey. We are truly blessed….Thank you, Lord…..

Okay, okay, we are willing to share Nik, but we still want to keep him… ha ha
Thanks for sharing the photos and experience. These are special memories, especially for those little ones. Glad you had a good time, and I’ll keep Mike in my prayers.
(ps. I always laugh on roller coasters!)
OMG, look at that water! It’s beautiful, but it looks COLD. The water in our lakes here in GA always look green, never that crystal blue.
