I know it’s New Year’s Eve, but my life was very full this Christmas and I am not finished talking about it yet…hang in there with me for just a little more please.
Since we were going to TN for Christmas, I could not, not have a Christmas with my CA kids. As much as possible we tried to stay with our traditions as every other year to keep some normality for our grands here. Instead of cooking the breakfast casserole at home, we went to our favorite home toen spot Edelweiss. All had breakfast there. Came back to our house for the traditional open one at a time with the kids and then had a roast, baked potatoe, green bean casserole dinner. Lots of desserts and some “Mexican Train”. It was fast, but it was just as fun and a lot more relaxing.

It’s really fun to see the grands getting older, then get to hand out the presents. Oh, another thing that was so rewardinig as a Mammo and Papa was to see the kids so excited about the things they received. Now we did get them toys and books, etc. But to have them open up a present and say “socks, yeah, thank you!” It was not expected at all, but I realized that they were appreciative of the needs as well as the wants. Thank you, Lord.

Then our game of “Mexican Train” to round out the night. It was fun and interesting and it was Saturday and Monday, it was on the Tennessee.

Barb – What a wonderful full holiday you and Mike have had. I am so happy for you both and grateful to the Lord for providing it and working it all out. It sounds like tons of fun and oodles of love! I can’t think of any woman who loves, prays, and gives more for their family than you. God knew just what you needed for Christmas this year, my friend.
Have a wonderfully blessed new year!!!
