Try as I may, I will never be able to do justice to what we experienced this weekend. Here is my feeble attempt to sum up what we saw, felt and experienced.
Because Trinity was in this show, and had been rehearsing for over a month, we saw bits and pieces. I am always so selfish when it comes to these productions, because once is never enough for me to see them, I always want more.
At the very beginning, let me say, that we LOVE Lorin Miller. He is the guy in the tux. Though he looks great in that tux, I prefer to see him as we normally do. He is our Worship Pastor at our church and I know I have never known a more talented individual ever. But not only is he musically talented, but a rare find of such rich talent and humanness. He is kind and generous and available to display any talent, in any form for others to display. In other words, it is never “all about him”. He has allowed Trinity to be in productions for about 3 years and she is only 9. He allows others to display their talent and takes pleasure in seeing others succeed. This is a treasured, man of God and we are very grateful for him.
Next, of course is our Trin, who knew from about the age of 2 that she has something to share. Do not know , well yes, I do.. The Lord knew, He put her in our family, because He knew we needed her. She has added a dimension to our lives we didn’t know we could have. She is so comfortable on that stage, this time to 1000 people at a time. She glows and beams.
Next, Aarron Kelly, WOW ! What talent he has. He helped Mike dig up our backyeard last summer, worked very hard to get our yard in order and then puts on costumes and actually becomes, Gaston from “Beauty and the Beast”, some French guy singing “Be Our Guest”. and the Hunchback from that old Notra Dame place. Can he sing. We love him very much, sing or not, but we were amazed.
Next, Evan, our sweet boy. He mentored under Brody when he was younger, now only 17, but a large part of our Worship Team, not only is this boy beautiful, but talented on his guitar and is destined for greatness. He took on this production reluctantly, but Wowed us in the Lion King, with dancing and singing with Aarron, a guy named Eric and our very own Dane to Akuna Matada, Loved it.
Then Last, but not least, Dane. Newest member of the Worship Team, but sings like and angel. I was drawn to him because honestly, he looked like Brody when Brody had long curly hair. He can sing. He was really the one who brought Phil Wickham into our Worship Service with Cannons. This boy is gentle, kind and really loves the Lord.
Anyway, the weekend was incredible. The talent displayed was beyond belief. Thank you all for working so hard for two very worthy charities, Thank you, Lorin for your vision and your talent and how you share and work so hard. Thank you Trin for being so fun to be around and inviting us to join this journey with you. Thank you, the boys I love so dearly, for allowing this old woman to love on you like a Mom and being open and sharing. Thank you, our Father for the talent you so freely give, for the love that just exudes and for your generosity to all of us. I am eternally grateful….., |
Sounds fantastic.
On a selfish note, I wish somebody would have told me when Phil W. was there. I am so sad to have missed that. (Nicholas said he got to go have lunch with him, and I turned a little green.)
Anyway, great post. And I love the way you love on people like that!
sounds wonderful!
